Lead B-BBEE Consultant
About Job Role
As a Lead B-BBEE Consultant, you will lead client engagements and provide strategic B-BBEE advisory services to a portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for managing and growing client relationships, delivering expert technical guidance, overseeing multiple consulting projects, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. You will also mentor and support consultants, contribute to business development, and play a key role in helping clients achieve their B-BBEE compliance and transformation objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Manage and grow a portfolio of B-BBEE clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Lead client engagements and serve as the primary advisor on B-BBEE matters.
- Facilitate client meetings and present technical recommendations.
Technical Advisory
- Provide expert guidance on the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice and relevant Sector Codes.
- Conduct complex B-BBEE assessments and provide strategic compliance advice.
- Develop tailored B-BBEE strategies and implementation plans.
- Advise clients on scorecard optimisation while ensuring compliance with legislation.
Leadership and Team Support
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to consultants.
- Review work completed by consultants and ensure high-quality client deliverables.
- Support the professional development of team members.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the consulting team.
Project and Portfolio Management
- Oversee multiple client engagements and ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Monitor project progress and manage risks where necessary.
- Ensure all client deliverables meet quality standards and agreed timelines.
- Support business development by identifying opportunities to grow existing client relationships and assisting with prospective client engagements.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications | Years of Experience
- 7–10 years' experience in B-BBEE consulting.
- Recent experience within a B-BBEE advisory or consulting firm.
- Strong knowledge of the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice and relevant Sector Codes.

- Proven ability to independently manage and grow a client portfolio.
